When to List Easter Items on Etsy (2027)

Easter moves, and 2027 is early

Easter is the one major spring occasion without a simple date rule: Mother’s Day and Father’s Day move too, but always to a set Sunday, while Easter can move by five weeks. Western Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox, as the church calculates it, so it can land anywhere from late March to late April. In 2026 it was April 5. In 2027 it is March 28, eight days earlier, and in 2028 it moves to April 16.

That matters because a schedule copied from last year will be late. RdPod’s rules give an estimated post-by date of Sunday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day) and a hard deadline of Sunday, March 7. Buyers start searching around February 25, and our occasion data puts the last orders around March 15. A shop still finishing St. Patrick’s designs at the end of February will miss the best part of the Easter window.

An early Easter also shortens the gap to Mother’s Day. Easter Sunday 2027 is the Mother’s Day post-by date, so the Easter line has to be finished and live well before the end of March.

Easter on Etsy is a family occasion, and the person paying is usually a parent or grandparent:
