Free Etsy Seller Tools

Two small tools for the last steps before you publish: what an order really earns after Etsy’s fees, and whether a title and its 13 tags are in shape. Both run in your browser.

Free tool · fees and profit

Etsy fee calculator

Enter a price, your shipping and your blank and print cost to see every Etsy fee on one order: the listing fee, the transaction fee, payment processing, the regulatory operating fee, currency conversion, Offsite Ads, Etsy Ads and the VAT Etsy adds on its fees. It works for shops in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France and Vietnam, or any other country with your own processing rate, and it shows your profit, your margin and the lowest price that does not lose money.

Free tool · title and tags

Etsy listing checker

Paste a title and your tags to check them against eight rules before you publish: exactly 13 tags, each tag 20 characters or fewer, no duplicate tags (singular and plural forms and word order count as the same tag), tags of two or three words, the main keyword in the first 40 characters, a title of 140 characters or fewer, no word more than twice, and the keyword in the first line of the description.

Which one to use when

The two tools answer the last two questions before a listing goes live. Use the fee calculator while you set the price: it shows what an order really earns once Etsy’s fees and your own costs are paid, and how low the price can go before an order loses money. Use the listing checker just before you publish: it catches the small mistakes in a title and its tags that waste search slots, such as a missing tag, a duplicate in another word order or a tag that is too long.

What happens to what you type

Both tools run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, you do not need an account, and they do not connect to Etsy or to your shop. Each page opens with a worked example, so you can see the result before you enter your own numbers or tags. The fee rates were checked against Etsy’s Help Center on October 7, 2026; the calculator links to Etsy’s pages so you can confirm them before you set prices.

What the free tools cannot tell you

The tools check arithmetic and the shape of a listing, not the market. They cannot tell you whether buyers search for your tags, how many listings already compete for them, what similar listings charge, or whether a phrase contains a brand or character name. Those answers need measured data. In RdPod, Search Volume shows how many times shoppers searched a phrase on Etsy in the 30 days before it was measured, next to the number of listings for it; the tag audit checks all 13 tags against that data; and keyword lookups flag common brand and character names. The Free plan includes a few keyword lookups and a tag audit each day. Create a free RdPod account to try them.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Are these Etsy tools really free?

Yes. The fee calculator and the listing checker are free, need no account and run in your browser. Market data such as measured search volume needs a free RdPod account.

Do the tools connect to my Etsy shop?

No. They do not connect to Etsy or to your shop and send nothing anywhere. You type the numbers or paste the title and tags yourself.

How current are the fee rates in the calculator?

They were checked against Etsy's Help Center pages on October 7, 2026. Etsy changes its fees from time to time, so confirm them on the linked Etsy pages before you set prices.
